ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
The Suffolk County Parks Foundation, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) organization that provides support and financial assistance for Suffolk County Parks. The Foundation works in close association with the Parks Department to determine where resources are most needed and how to implement specific programs and projects. For example, the Foundation has funded various training seminars for not-for-profit groups associated with the Parks Department and also funded entertainment, children’s educational activities, and event advertising for other special events that were not included in the Department’s budget.
